Additionally, the lab just put out its first big set of data, available now on BioRxiv! In this work, we describe a central mechanism that drives the blunting of circadian glucocorticoid rhythms in breast cancer. Stay tuned for the full paper!

Prostate cancer grant funded!
Our collaborative Department of Defense Idea Development Award was funded. This project is titled “Neuronal function and incurable prostate cancer”, and is a strong joint effort between our lab and Lloyd Trotman’s group at CSHL.
STARR Consortium Grant Funded
Our grant entitled “Defining the role of sleep in cancer immunity and metabolism” has been selected for funding from the STARR Cancer Consortium. This work is a collaborative effort between the Borniger, Janowitz, Lukey, and Engel labs at CSHL in tandem with clinical researchers Evan Noch, Anna Krieger, and Marcus Goncalves at Weill-Cornell Medicine!
DoD Discovery Grant Funded
Our grant entitled “Neural circuit mechanisms of stress-induced insomnia and metabolic dysfunction” has been funded by the Department of Defense!

A collaborative paper with Dr. Jose Otero’s lab at The Ohio State University uses machine learning/AI approaches to uncover subtle differences between genotypes in plethysmography and EEG data.
